Connect to Joltio Data

Get an API key

Create a key in the panel, under Data, API keys. Keys start with jol_live_ and are shown only once, so store them in your secret manager and never in code.

Send it in every request with either header

X-API-Key: jol_live_…
Authorization: Bearer jol_live_…

Connect Claude

Add Joltio as a custom connector. Claude signs you in with your Joltio account through OAuth, so there is no key to paste.

In Claude, open Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, and paste this URL

Query from Python

The joltio client reads JOLTIO_API_KEY and returns polars DataFrames.

Call the HTTP API

Any language works: send SQL to /data/query, or check coverage and freshness, which needs no key.

Always send an identifying User-Agent. Requests with default library agents are rejected with 403.
